Granada Theater Implements a Smart Website

Granada Theater is still my favorite rock venue in Dallas. For years they had suffered from what I call the dreaded “toilet paper roll”. On their Home Page consisted a single endless scroll of upcoming show images. Their website proposed a unique challenge in that the owner wanted it to be “smart”. We decided that the website would update on its own, shows would expire or display sales status automatically. In addition, the website would prompt users to check out shows in other genres. Granada also needed sections describing their many unique services like concert food, rentals and plethora of photos and videos. We carefully planned each section, wifreframed them and then I hired The Old State to complete the designs and Curtis McHale to develop the website in WordPress.
To create buzz for the new website launch we crafted another site called the “G Party” and had our Street Team put up poster all around town. On the landing page for gparty.com we had an email sign up sheet, garnering more than 2,000 emails before the new website launch.
